dedetriech oven door problem?

De detriech double oven DOD438BU12. behaving as if the door is open (ie light on allways and no fan) when closed, obviously suspect door lock but cannot see anything broken. Should there be something sticking out of the lock to engage in the door when closed?

Yes there will be the pin that the door sits against and operates broken, common fault! look very closley at the lock and you will see that it is missing!

thanks, the metal locking pin is there, but retracted inside, should there be another protuding pin then? I have ordered a new lock and hope for the best.

Hi,

There should also be a plastic pin thet is operated by the door on closure.

Door lock part number 74X4648.
