After eight years of faultless operation the door tensioning strap/s have snapped !
I would appreciate any information and advice on how to fit replacement straps, I can find very little service information for this machine. After safe isolation, do you have to remove the side panels ? Also, how best to set tension adjustment ?Many thanks in advance.

Yes you do need the side panels off to gain access. Be very careful when fitting the new parts because of the spring tension involved…wear protective clothing such as gloves and don’t get your face near.
You will see the adjustment available when you do the job, this needs setting so that the door will just comfortably sit horizontal when it’s open without wanting to pop back up 😉
