Hi Guys.I’m not sure if you deal with these but I am looking for recommendations for a portable humidifier for No.1 son’s flat. The place is so damp I found mould on his shoes in the bottom of the wardrobe ! Ewww. He is also rather averse to fresh air in the form of opening the windows.
He has a one bedroomed flat with a small lounge, bathroom and kitchen so he just needs one suitable for a small area.
I have read some good reviews about the Delonghi DEM10 .
Argos have one on clearance. The Challenge 12L (Amcor)
Does anybody have any experience of these ? Thanks.

    Hi hbrac

The Amcor has better spec, 2 speed fan and will cover up to a three bedroom property. The Delonghi on the other hand is a neater machine which may be more suited to the flat but it only has a single speed fan. Either machine would be a good buy but if it were me I would go with the Amcor.

Thanks Don. The Amcor is certainly cheaper ! I think there is another newer version out now. Perhaps that’s why Argos have it on clearance. I see some advertised on ebay Do you know anything about stores own brands e.g Wickes etc.

    Someone has a B&Q GDNM10A4BK4AA 2nd hand for sale.???

    Hi

I am always wary of electrical items for sale on Ebay by MOP`s as you never really know what you are buying. Trade sellers with an almost 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} rating are a safer bet 😉 Retailers own brands I tend not to look at to be fair, sometimes these can be produced by a reputable manufacturer, on the other hand it could be a far eastern import with little or no service backup.

Yes the ebay seller did say this B&Q one was made in China so perhaps to be on the safe side I’ll go to Argos instead .I can always take it back if it’s no good.TBH it’s not something I have ever bought in the past though in those dim and distant memories of my youth I lived in a few flats that were damp !

Update…in the end I got the Delonghi from Meaco. Love it. All that water collecting in the tray…and that’s in my house ! I haven’t put it in son’s flat yet 😆
