ModeratorI think it is about time someone had some serious words with the delivery agents.
For the past five or six months, 3 out of 4 ISE-2/ISE-5 machines I have attended for installation have had bent transit bolts, some showing signs of slight twisting of the back panel around the hole for the bolts.
Star Supplies received a delivery on Friday and every single machine had ripped or damaged plastic wrappings. They examined the machines and rejected one that had visible damage to the door surround. Apparently the driver was none to pleased to be asked to return it.
I went to do an install this afternoon on one of the other machines, sadly Star Supplies had missed the badly dented cabinet back until they unwrapped it in the customers home.
Their driver left it as they had no more stock available and informed me of the damage. By tilting the machine back and placing my trusty size nines inside I was able to push out the back panel which was fouling the drum & motor pulley, out of sight of the customer I might add. 😉

TBH Jim it’s not a problem we’ve had.
We’ve had the very odd transit damage but, i have to say, they really are rare so it’s real strange that you’ve had this.
No doubt Evelyn will have a word with John and he’ll take it up with HiWay.

Perhaps the driver was having a bad day. :rolls:
I think Chris has had one or two with bent transit bolt as well.

I have had a report that a recent delivery appeared to be dropped of by what looked like a couple of gypsies in an old transit van.

Yup, fortunately no other damaged. Have had two with a ding in the front panel since we started – very annoying.

Yeah, all the transport companies will subcontract now I’m afraid and we’ve no control over who they use. Obviously it’s price based so, just like DHL, Interlink or anyone else, you can get just about anything turning up. 😕
Not a lot we can do about that I’m afraid.
