De’longhi DEM10 dehumidifier not producing water

Hello boys…how are you? Long time no see.
I don’t know if anyone can help here but my son’s dehumidifier is running but no water is being produced. It is way out of warranty and infact has had little use. It’s not been the best of dehumidifiers considering what it cost initially.Googling around alot of people seem to be similarly unimpressed and give the same story.
What I would like to know is whether it is repairable or should I dispose of it and buy a new dehumidifier.

If the compressor is running the most likely fault it has lost the gas.

It will need the leak repaired and a regas.

It would need an engineer visit to check as it could also be a compressor fault.

Unless it is an expensive dehumidifier then it is problebly cheaper to replace.

Thanks for your speedy reply Bob. I think I will just go and look for another dehumidifier. A friend has a refrigeration business so I will check first whether it’s something one of the engineers could fix.Cheers.
