Delonghi MW865 Microwave no micro function

This ones driving me mad. Microwave function was blowing internal fuse as soon as Magnatron starts up with a loud noise. Replaced Magnatron and all worked well for 3 months, then the microwave function only worked after a long delay or not at all. Replaced PCB and no change, capacitor and transformer replaced as well and fitted another Magnatron just in case, and now loud noise again at start up and internal fuse blows again. All other functions work fine. Anyone got a schematic for this machine or ideas where else to look?

dont know this one of hand but am assuming you only blow the fuse when micro starts ie you set time and push start button

disconnect mag disconnect diod disconnect wire from transformer ht
make sure these cant touch anything

turn on try microwave if blows is transformer

if not switch off reconnect capacitor try again if works again DISCHARGE!!! and reconnect diode and so on this is the way i find hv faults that will not show on meters

hope this helps but be carefull without the mag in circuit you will be left with a full charge on the cap

It could possibly be the short protector, if it has one fitted on this model. Resistance readings will not show up if using a dmm.

test the capacitor with a megger this will show you charge state.
Also test the diode assy with a multimeter.

You should not test hv unless you know all the pitfalls as a wrong move will either kill or blow a part of your anatomy off.
