    Hiyas,
    Model is DFS901SS.
Switch oven on and top and bottom elements heat up but won’t go above 50 deg. Stat light is still on (goes out if turned down to less that 50 deg).
Before I start ripping this monster apart anyone any ideas on the likely fault?

    Thanks
    Brian

Sounds like the problem i had with the neff elements, the element are probably at fault to high omn rating . Have you checked the power supply to the elements?

Haven’t checked anything yet. Waiting for customer to get it out so I can work on it.
Beautiful installation. Cooker first, units hard up to it, then tiled floor right up to the front legs. No way I could get it out without damage so kitchen fitters coming back to sort things out.
I’ve got elements and stat to take with me though so hopefully I’ll be able to sort it out with them.
Thanks for the answer. Keep the ideas coming though.

    Thanks
    Brian

Did you try it on fan element mode? I think 7 oclock, most common fault is the selector switch breaks down and burns out.

yeah, dodgy commutator, comes with a complete wiring loom! have fun. BTW the top comes off to check that, (assuming its a gas top) dont need to pull out to get to controls.

Spot on advice lads, it was the switch. Found one of the leafs had jumped out of place. Put it back in place, everything worked as it should. Checked a week later and it’s still fine.
Thanks to all for the help.
