ParticipantHi Folks,
This cooker is dual fuel – gas hob/electric oven – and the customer is having problems selecting functions. I have not been to it as yet but I feel certain it is the selector switch. If I remember correctly this switch replacement is a major modification which entails changing all the eletrical looms in the machine. Can anyone confirm this and does the customer have any help from Delonghi concerning this, ie. will they do it FOC.
A prosperous new year to you all.

Hi Lorense 😀
The technical bulletin says you should fit the kit only but we have fitted several of the switches on their own with no problems, just make sure you check all the spade terminals are a tight fit. Some of the later models have already been converted so you only need to fit the switch.
Part numbers:
Whole kit (requires a complete rewire) – 1131114S £46.33
Switch only – 0500281 £23.34
I don’t think Delonghi will do anything, may be worth the customer having a go though I guess, depends how old it is really.
Dave.

Probably unrelated, but Its worth checking terminal block , rear left, they have a tendancy to melt, worth a look anyway.

KeymasterDoes that happen before or after the customers fingers have bonded to the control knob/s due to heat? 😆

Quality stuuf arent they, stilldont get as hot as an Arrow single oven fascia
now thats a griddle in itself 😆January 4, 2005 at 11:42 pm #122289kwatt
KeymasterOh yeah, real quality engineering. Anything behind the facia is of little concern, how it looks is more important than how it performs. 😕
Those Arrow things, is that for Arrow Distribution? Probably that Menenghetti crap.

We get them under guarantee to fix, some get that hot (even with correct venting, no vent fan either) that the isulation reeks giving off an accrid stench that hits you in the back of the throat. Quality, but you gets what you pay for I guess.

KeymasterDifferent type of rash P, that one is more irritable because you paid to get it and there’s no cure for it other than adding to the appliance mountain! 😉
