ParticipantHi,
I have spent this afternoon reading through the forum but can´t find the answer so, a plea for help,
I bought a Zanussi IZ161W (serial no. 31600776) in the UK in Nov 03. We moved to Spain in Feb 04 and the machine went into storage. It finally arrived just before last Christmas (05). All was working well until one night when the machine stopped halfway through the cycle. Now the orange power light comes on but the digital display only shows dashes and the machine does not work.
Any ideas will be gratefully received. Thanks.May 15, 2006 at 6:06 pm #176558iadom

Hi Andy,
Can you give us the PNC or Product number, there are at least three variations of your model number., that will give the Zanussi experts a better chance of helping you.

Hi Andy, I had hoped that someone with more experience than myself on Zanussi equipment would have answered your post. A fellow mod has ( quite correctly ) moved your post to the European thread, unfortunately there will be less of a chance of an answer way down there, which is why I did not move it initially.
The model you have can have several different control systems, they are fairly complex machines with a special diagnostics mode to fault find.
If no one else responds to this post your best bet is to try and find someone local to you with all the relevant technical information. The electronic controls on this appliance are quite expensive as well.
Hopefully this ‘bump’ may elicit an reply. 😉

Have there been any signs of the door not locking correctly as the interlocks are prone to failure ?
Also, are any of the other lights on apart from the dashes in the main display window and the power LED ?
Dave.

Hi Dave,
The door lock has never been a problem.
The only light on the front of the machine that works is the orange ¨power on¨light. None of the LED´s are working. -
