ParticipantPlease can someone help me – I am a desperate lady! 😥
My husband accidentally broke the outer glass on the top oven/grill of my Hotpoint EW82 Natural Linen coloured slot in cooker when he was attempting to pull it out. He was laying some new kitchen flooring and decided to pull the cooker out by the grill handle and the strain on the glass was too much and it broke. I telephoned Hotpoint immediately and ordered and paid for the replacement glass part (part no 6102538) and was told it was a special order and would take approx 2-3 weeks. I was happy to accept this but explained I desperately wanted it by the 21st July as we are holding a big family party at our home to celebrate my daughters engagement and being a typical houseproud female I did not fancy a cooker with a broken oven door on view to all the guests. The lady from Hotpoint assured me it would be here on time and I took her word for it. However, that was 5 weeks ago now and when I telephoned Hotpoint this morning they are now saying it would be at least another 6 weeks and cannot give me an actual date! I am not very happy about this and I am now ringing around to see if anyone has this particular part I am after in stock. Unfortunatley, so far everyone has said it is not a part they carry in stock and it is a special order and are quoting at least 28 days delivery!
I don’t hold out a lot of hope now of finding this part as I have lost count of all the companies I have rung and they are all saying the same but If there is anyone out there who has this part in stock or who can get me it to me before this Friday then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ring me on 01754 766437.
You would be making a desperate lady very happy if you could help and I eagerly await your replies.
Thank you for reading my post and I am keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed that someone somewhere can help me!
