D&G sign up

Just a quick question, I’ve sent off the paperwork to do work for D&G how long does it take to get things started with them? No reply from them so far, been 10 days now.

Not much work in my area at the moment, just lots of calls wanting free estimates. :rolls:

Not much work in London? Things must be getting bad 😯 Did you have to fill in a great big form about health & safety?

Yep, bloody silly questions, I’m a sole trader so it means very little, but you still get all the forms :rolls:

A lot of work in London if you want to work free, but getting them to pay is the problem.
Had a call this morning from a Newsagents with a broken drinks chiller, did not want to know as soon as I said we would charge £20 if he only wanted an estimate, and did not have a repair.
He had already told me he’s been given an estimate by some other engineers who said it needed a compressor. I asked him how much he expected to pay for the a compressor job parts and labour, he said not more than £80 :rotfl:
You can see what I’m up against with people like him. :rolls:

Pup – You have to remember that D&G do things on a tier system. Those that are first tier get the majority of the work, those on second tier get most of what remains and the remaining tiers get whats left. Bearing in mind that you are around London area you may have to wait quite sometime before you get anything. Also take on board that many of the manufacturers have already got contractual agreements with D&G which funnel their brand work to their own service network. It doesn’t leave much for those at the end of the food chain.
