    Hi

I’ve got an Indesit DG6145 slimline dishwasher and have had it for about 6 years. Over the weekend I noticed it making an unusual ‘buzzing’ sound whilst it was running, thought something might have been caught, but after it had finished I checked and there was nothing obvious.

There was also a slight burning smell, but i’m not sure if was coming from the dishwasher or my cooking!!

Today when running I noticed it wasn’t filling up with water, it didn’t sound right.

I imagine it’s the pump that’s gone, is this worth looking to get replaced, or am i going to have to stump up for a new one?

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Cheers

    Richard

Not filling, or not circulating? After the initial drain period, the machine should do a static fill until water is detected, then circulate. No fill = no circulation. However, it may well fill and the motor not start. Give it a couple of minutes after the drain sequence, then open the door. Water should at least cover the base of the tub, to a level below the slat chamber cap.

It seems to be not filling. It doesn’t make the usual sloshing sounds when it first starts, when i opened the door after a few minutes there was very little water in the bottom.

    Regards
    Richard
