ParticipantGot my machine working brilliant does evrything. When i looked into the bottom of machine somebody has put the wires on the wrong way on the presure switch, i only knew this as i had been investigating my dh086 model as you will be aware.
The only small problem is that it washes fine on all cycles when not using a tablet, but when i use a tablet and it foams the machine isnt swooshing around like it was when i just ran it using water and no tablet.
Its like it thinks suds should not be there and then stops swooshing but the timer still carries on. Is this a modification on this model compared to the old dh086 i had as when it gets to the hot rinse it swooshes around, i thought it should do this during the main wash part aswell. As the other machine swooshed through the main wash and the hot rinse.
So my question is this normal it does a normal wash in 1 hour and 10 mins and seems to be more thourough than the privious model i had.
Finally I would Like to ay a big thank you to all the guys that have been pateint with me with this (especially Mr P and Dave C)and really think the site is great, everything is a learning curve and thanks to you guys im nearly there.
Thanks again.
Justin

Possibly the most unlucky poster the site has ever known….
Run the machine empty a few times – just flush it through and get rid of any residues that the previous owner might have left in the machine. This machine should really run on separate powder, rinse aid and salt. The newer tablets are prone to frothing and these older machines don’t cope with foam instead of water.
Good luck,

cheers, i am on the 4th wash of washing this empty and all is fine, i am then going to put finish dishwash cleaner through and see what happens then.
I didnt realise powder was better i thought tablets were the same but did read a few posts saying that with power you have more control of the dose.
I am using seperate rinse aid and salt already, so may take the big box of finish classic dishwasher tablets back and change them for powder.
I will let you know how i get on, hope it dosent complain when i put the finish dishwasher cleaner through 🙄 This is the one with the wax hole in the lid.
MR P: As for probally being the most unlucky poster on the site, you may not be wrong as this wil be 14 days on tuesday 😆
But nearly there now, Cheers guys.

Providing the tablets are not 3 or 4in1 there is no need to change them 😉

Greg
The ‘Classic’ tablets should be fine (the red powerball is simply the ‘stain-soaker’ that dissolves on cold water; the blue layer is the enzymatic layer that breaks downs protein and starch residue; the white layer is the oxygen-based bleaching agent, to sanitise the load and remove tea and coffe stains).
Be aware that running a wash-cycle with tablets and no dishes, or even relatively clean dishes can cause over-foaming!
Old-style detergents (still available in Cash & Carry depots, badged as “Professional”) use chlorine bleach. They do not foam up. They are though, very harsh on fine china and glassware, but give superb bleaching performance.
