have a hotpoint with a 43er101c1 fitted a 48er101c1 which i believed was the update. all connections the same. didn’t work cooling fan on when off not working half grill etc. on connect it says
The original regulator (Diamond h 43ER101C1) Was replaced by ego regulators and a tech bulletin C151 was produced for th is. The ego regulators are no longer being used and have bee n replaced by diamond h 48ER101C1 which is compaitable with the original regulator. Tech bulletin C151 no longer applie s and is not required.

onthe sticky on here it says put in a link for 43 and 48. is that what it needs or could it be a faulty switch

What model of cooker is it for?
According to the datasheet that I have got those 2 regulators should be direct pin for pin replacements for each other, the only difference is that the signal contacts are rated for 1A on the new one instead of 100mA.
The datasheet on Maddocks indicates that you may need a link between P1 and S1 but this same note is also on the old one.

thats strange i thought it was the same like for like. just one connection was a twin but joined. i put it into one connection

I don’t have the wiring diagram for that one unfortunately but from photos it looks like the same chassis/unit as used on some old Hotpoint cookers and ovens in which case it should be wired as follows:
S1 = Live
S2 = cooling Fan
P1 and 2 to Grill Common
P2 = Top Oven Switch Pin 4
4 = Top Oven Switch Pin 6

The connection between S1 and P1 is shown as being switched by the top oven selector switch.
