I’m trying to replace an older Diamond H thermostat but the connections are slightly different and before I make a mistake, would like some advice.

The cooker is a Parkinson Cowan 1200G. The original stat is a 47THC9/F8 being replaced by a ET52001/F8. On the old stat there are two connectors on the back, “F” and “G”. On the new one there are two, “A” and “B”. Logic would suggest F=A and G=B but I’m not quite sure. The rest of the connectors are numbered and line up.

    Can anyone advise?

    Regards,
    David

If A+B were a make-and-break switch and F+G is a make-and-break switch (Check contacting with your test meter), polarity won’t matter as it’s an AC circuit.

I can find nothing relating to a 1200G cooker – check model number or better still find the pNc number.

Thanks for the advice – I’ll try the test meter when I get a chance to unassemble it again. It the mean time, I’ve found the original owners handbook. Part number listed is 311409501 (1998). Model number is R1200GRN.
