Difference between Hotpoint WMUD 942 and Hotpoint WMD 942

Guys,

Can any of you confirm the difference in the a Hotpoint WMUD 942 and aHotpoint WMD 942. I’ve got a job with a module failure (WMD 942) and the customer has seen a module for a WMUD 942. Would I be right in thinking these are incompatible?

Must be incorrect, there are several versions of both models with different pcb’s and at least one model of WMUD has three different modules on it’s own.

Full commercial code, full model number inc suffix letters and serial number needed to be certain.

Why not just EMW it? Refuse to guarantee your labour on any components you dont source yourself, tell them you can get their pcb refurbished for £60, and itll come with a 6mth guarantee. That will shut them up and let you get on with doing what theyve got you out to do for them! Grrr I get really irritated with customers who try to do your job for you, in the vain hope of then saving themselves an extra couple of quid.

Most customers of Hotpoint washers don’t have the patience to have it repaired let alone EMW or QER it. I’m surprised that the customer is happy to waste time.
