Dim red light on Zanussi ZFT610W freezer but temp normal

I noticed the red warning light on my Zanussi ZFT610W freezer was dimly lit (emphasis on the dim) a couple of days ago. It has done this before and I adjusted temp and it was fine. Noticing quite a lot of frost inside this time, I emptied the freezer and defrosted it over night.

Turned it back on the next morning on a mid setting and it seems to maintain a temperature around -19c. However, the red light remains dimly lit. I say dimly lit because it is not as bright as the normal green light, also after switching the freezer back on after its defrosting the red light was much brighter for a short time.

The red light remains dimly lit now despite me also turning on fast freeze, which has reduced the temperature in the freezer to -30c (according to the thermometer I have in there).

Could this be an issue with the red light itself?
