dip/ whirlpool d/w flashing

i have put this dishwasher through a test cycle with no error codes showing.sometimes when you start it the light flashes and at the same time the pump pulses 15 times then a pause then another 15. sometimes if your leave it pulsing it will start the program and continue through the wash.
the fault codes only go up to 13, so any ideas
