    This customer complained of her oven not getting hot enough. I meggered and tested the element OK. the fan works OK. The neon on the facia stays on all the time, and the temperature never goes over 150c.

    Can or does an element lose power over time, or does the fibre insulation break down, or am I missing something?

    The model on the front is 610. But the sticker with the model no on has curled up and fell off. Thanks

    have you temp tested it ? also I had one of these where somehow the stat had gone out of calibration and was down by about 100deg

    I temp tested on 100c, Which seemed OK. The problem is it takes Forever to get there, and I’m spending a lot of time just watching it.
