Diplomat 8221 fault – won’t start

I have had the above dishwasher for 5 years with no problems, but last week it wouldn’t start. I had someone round to look at it and he said the door switch was faulty and the programmer ‘probably didnt work’.
The machine gets power as the on/off light comes on, but when you shut the door nothing happens. When I trigger the door switch manually still nothing happens.
Does anyone have any ideas, and if it means new parts where do I go and how much would a programmer and a new switch cost ?

There’s a few things it could be.

Switch Assembly is £23.40, the timer is £58.46 and the door lock microswitch is £3.75.

From my experience, I have never used a door switch, very rarely replaced a timer and occasionally replaced a switch assembly on that model and the door lock assy with about the same frequency.
