I have a diplomat 8252, the other day is just stopped working and by that I mean turns on perfect, your able to select programs, eco mode and timer. However when you close the door it just doesn’t start the cycle, since then I have tried the following –

    1. Topped up the rinse aid
    2. Topped up the salt pot
    3. Turned off the dishwasher at the mains for over twenty mins and turned back on, however no change.
    4. Removed the filters and cleaned any gunk out of them
    5. Stripped off the bottom panel and squashed the main black rubber pipes to the point you can hear there is no blockage back into the dish washer.

However, there does seem to be water below the filer plate and this would suggest the machine wont start the cycle probably because it thinks there is water still in the machine?

I’m unable to identify if there is an error code, as it doesn’t stat or jump out at your on the display either.

If I could get some assistance on resolving this issue, it would be greatly appreciated as there doesn’t seem to be any videos for this model.

    Thanks Paul

Check the door lock and, specifically, that the microswitch in there is operating as if it is not then the dishwasher will be sat there thinking that the door hasn’t been closed.

To get to it you need to loosen off all the screws at the top panel and get into that, the door lock looks like this:

Power off before you start as there will be mains power there if you do not do that.
