Diplomat 8512 1000 spin WM does NOT go on to fast spin.

PCB looks OK but motor is very HOT after a spin cycle which just does the 500 spin and then sits there.

Any ideas is there a second spin winding on this induction type motor ??

No second spin winding but the early versions had 2 capacitors, may be worth looking at. Usualy the modules fail on these. take care if ordering parts as there are 2 models. APM8512 /0 and APM8512/1 look on the rating plate to be sure.

Ok I shall look for another cap.

There is the TRIAC on the PCB is this used for the wash cycle control, or is this impossible as its a induction type motor. Do you think the motor spin cables just get routed through the PCB .

    Thanks for your help.

On this model there is only one 20uF cap that checks out OK.

There seems to be three sets (pairs) of motor windings Grey, white and red wires to the motor and the black capacitor start wires.
None of the pairs of wires are open circuit or have a gnd fault.
The red wires never have a voltage driven to them so I can only conclude this is the fast spin winding and the PCB never drives any power to this winding .

    “faulty PCB”

    Any comments PLEASE !!

Most likely, pretty common on these machines.
