    Hi there

My Diplomat 8702 washer dryer is filling with water overnight when not in use.

The water seems clean and I suspect its a faulty water valve.

I have had the washing machine for nearly 2 years and its not under warrantee anymore.

I’ve also cleaned out the drainage where it hooks into the sink drain (low level) and i don’t think a blockage is the problem.

Could you please let me know whether you think its a water valve as well? I closed the cold water tap to see whether the washing machine still fills with water after a few hours.

    Hi,

You’ll prove the water valve is faulty with the water switched off as, if it still fills, then it’s from the drain.

Diplomat 8702 washer dryer fills water when not in use

    Hi,

    I’ve tested both water pipes.

When I turn the hot water pipe off, the water stops filling the washing machine.

The tap has a orange/brownish cap on, so i take it its the hot water pipe.

Could any of you please let me know how i could go about in changing the watervalve on this washes dryer.

I am not that experienced in washing machines, but I’m sure it can’t be too difficult.

    Regards,

With the lid off it should be apparent. 😉

Power off though and there is a capacitor that retains a charge usually as well as a mains filter that can also hold a charge.
