Diplomat 910S APL 4391 Main Oven Door Hinge Broken

One of the two hinges of the main oven door has become loose after it made a large bang as its sprung mechanism failed. Thus it can’t keep the door closed properly. The arm of the hinge still extends into its mounting in the oven casing so I can’t tell what has failed and how to get at it.

Any ideas what has failed and how to replace it gratefully received?

the spring in the door hinge has broken, the hinge cannot be repaired.so a new hinge is required

Thanks – any idea how to dismantle the oven to get at the offending hinge and where to get one from?

This article explains how to replace oven door hinges

However that’s the Stoves built one on which the hinge foot on either side goes, shown here and it’s not just as simple as many to do.
