ParticipantHI, I have a Diplomat AAA3490 electric cooker. As with many other people purchased the item from MFI in the last days of trading and had no instruction book and cannot find one anywhere. I have found how to acivate most of the functions but when i use the grill it turns the heating eliment off after 3 or 4 mins, hardly enough time to brown a sausage. the only way to make it heat up again is to reset the function and start it again. The cooker has a rather flash control screen that is blue.also i have noticed that the grill only heats the smaller inner element and not the larger outer one.
Please help, Kind regards Simon

must admit to not having seen one of these but you generally need the oven thermostat set to the max temperature for the grill to work correctly.

yep done that! you can set the temp in posentages i.e upto 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} being full on. but the cow of a cooker still turns its self off every 3-4 mins.
cheers Si..

make sure that there is no foil in grill pan reflecting heat back up to the thermostat phial, other than that move the grill pan foward and make sure there is a gap at the back between the pan and the rear and this should make it a lot better but still expect the grill to switch off but will come back on sooner, this is quite normal

Hi,
Have you managed to find out the problem, as I am in the same boat as yourself!!! I also bought just before christmas, and am having problems trying to locate a manual!!!, I also only have the inner element working on the grill, I personally think it is a case of maybe having to hold 2 buttons down at once, but I have tried everything. One thing that I have managed to find out, is that the oven door needs to be closed whilst grilling…….. Just wish It would work properly!!!! Another grievance I have is that the oven switches off after 3 1/2 hours, believe me a pain in the neck when you are cooking a turkey on christmas eve through the night
