ParticipantHi all,
Could anyone advise me as to what an intermiitant loud bang as the end of a wash cycle may be down to on this dishwasher please?
it works fine up to the drying stage but i’ll hear a very loud band a couple of times and then the cycle completes as normal.
I thought it sounded like something shorting but have had it turned on and not running for a while and it’s been fine. I also thought it may have been something like a baking tray making the noise as it expands, but it’s way too loud for that.
It’s got me puzzled as it works fine.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Shaun

Ok cheers, too late, i ordered one yesterday, so fingers crossed.
So the suppressor is accessed from the bottom of the unit? I’d sort of envisaged it would be at the rear. Hopefully this will be the problem..should be here Monday.
Thanks again for your help,
Shaun

Hi again,
I’ve now had a look at the supressor in the base of the dishwasher and as suggested it’s completely blown. My new part arrived from uk whitegoods but it looks different to the part that’s failed.
The new part is updated and as stated on the website ‘may require wiring changes’. Could someone please advise if my plan to attach via some spades and tape in place (as the original part was) sounds right.
Thanks,
Shaun

I take it that you’ve received one of THESE?
This device is supposed to screw to the back lower panel, next to where the cable comes in. Live goes through one pair of terminals, neutral through the other.
Unfortunately, there is no official information to be had.

Hi Penguin,
It’s all done and works fine. Yes it was one of those i received. Unfortunately the other had blow right where the wiring diagram was printed, but i worked it out.
Think the hardest part was getting the washer back in and lined up again..lol
Many thanks for your assistance, it’s much appreciated.
Regards,
Shaun
