I have a Diplomat ADP 8132 dishwasher that went bang mid cycle.
I bought replacement heater element and fitted.
Whilst fitting I moved around a small lipstick sized thing that had broken out of its plastic shell and started to flake a tiny bit. Not sure what it was parked it out of the way carefully.
When turned on the machine again big bang.
Have I now blown up a perfectly good element?
Was the lipstick thing a safety cut out module that had failed?
The wires go to a plug and off in a couple of directions so not sure if it it is a consumable part or nothing at all.
Will I have blown anything else up?
Thanks in advance for the helpful help
