ParticipantHi
Can anyone help? My diplomat adp 8132 dishwasher only works on the glass cycle only, the main one we use is pots/pans(long wash for dried on) but it just stays on 4 hours(was on once for 14hrs).It doesnt seem to heat up on pots/pans(just tried it now and it has had to interupt it as it had been on 4 3hrs – it had heated up and had soap+water at bottom?Have put it back on glasses so it drains out and works.
I have seen the forum on the reset of Diplomat 8132 so will try that tomorrow.
I have had somone clean the drain out to see if that worked but still not.It only works on the glass cycle(it did last time,so will see if it works this time)
Anyone know what my fault is as dont understand why it only works on this cycle which is no good for dried on dirt.
Ther are no error codes as i have to interupt wash to stop it
Dont have manual as inherited dishwasher when bought houseNovember 25, 2009 at 5:55 pm #304851timchloe0144

Hi
Sorry i should have said the Plate programme we normally use not Pots/pans
Dishwasher has just finshed after i interuppted the plate programme(been on for 3hrs) to put it on the glass programme and everything has worked and drained, does this mean i have to interupt the programme every time and put it on the glass programme to get it to work everytime?
Please anyone help – other half wants me to invest in new one!Already got problems with a servis washer/dryer (only wash working).
Will i do the dishwasher damage by interrupting the programme all the time?
I will have to try it for 2hrs then put glasses on for 1hr = 3hrs on to see if it works for that length of time as i know it works for 3hrs+1on glasses=4hrs dishwasher on
Thanks for looking for me!November 25, 2009 at 7:26 pm #304852Penguin45

It’s a SMEG with a badge, which brings its own set of problems. Running the plates or pots and pans wash should get to 65c – if you open the door, this should be a pall of steam/steam your glasses up job…
If the machine is doing this, you’re probably looking at some sort of pcb logic failure. If it’s only getting mildly warm, you need to investigate the heater circuit. Surpisingly enough, extended running will warm the water through friction.
Stay safe, power off before going in.

hi
Thanks for reply. What does PCB iogic failure mean – and how much will it cost? Or in your opinon do i need to think about buying a new machine?I believe its 3yrs old now – and looking back we started having a problem last xmas when we had use it lots of times – when we went to put it back on for anther wash after it had been on the machine would not work we had to wait 4hrs before it decided to work, this happened again 5months later and it worked the following morning from using that evening.
And now we have the problem i first posted.
All ideas welcome from anyone – like to hear want penguin45 makes of all this as well.
Thanks for lookingNovember 26, 2009 at 12:10 pm #304856timchloe0144

Hi
Anyone out there?
I have now done the master reset from diplomat adp 8242 dec31 2004 thread(one of threads said that the adp 8132 is same machine as adp 8332) but i only got button 5 flashing not 1 and 5 as reset said guess it has resest and thats the difference between models. Before all this i wiped the heating element to get rid off the white scum on ends of element.
I then put it on button 4 plate cycle – machine stopped after 30-40mins (machine did not heat up this time!)and button 1 (rinse) is now flashing, guess this is error code 1 or something as i dont have manual(anyone have manual and tell me what all error codes are especially this one).
so yesterday it was working only when i interrupted plate cycle(no4) and put it on button 2 plate cycle now it just stopsNovember 26, 2009 at 1:54 pm #304857timchloe0144

Hi
I now need help,help!!
I put it back on after 30mins it just beeps and beeps so have interrupted programe and put it on my trusted glass cycle(no2) so at least it drains away.
My engineer has just phoned and from the reply of penguin45 and what i have told him,he has advised me to buy a new machine, cant believe it i have got to spend about £450 on a neff was £550 (advised to buy neff.siemans, bosch so it will last and spend some money and get comet to fit the intergrated as only retailer will charge £100 inc del+collection)
My postcode is HP1 3HU if anyone out there. The dishwasher has just finished the Glass cycle after not working on the plate cycle and it worked perfectly so just dont understand why i have the problems i have on the Plate cycle.
Thanks all for looking

Right – couple of points.
Glass programme is the quick wash – this runs against time. The other programmes require the machine to get to a fixed temperature to allow the prorgamme to proceed. If it doesn’t, it will eventually time-out and beep beep beep…..
The re-set procedure is only appropriate to clear the E7 flowmeter problem; if you are showing only LED5, press programme button again to light LED1 as well. Switch off to complete procedure, then run the rinse programme only.
The latest fault reported is E1, which is flood protection system activated. The tray under the machhine may well have water in it.
I think you’ll find that the root problem is still the heating circuits or the pcb losing it’s marbles.
We can’t always give instant responses. The board is run by professional repairers who will obviously be out at work during the day. I’ve just done 9-7.30.
Good luck with your NEFF, it’s a sensible choice with a decent warranty.
