My Diplomat ADP 8132 has suddenly stopped filling and I’m wondering whether to try and get it fixed or to buy something new, as it also has a crack in the door.
The water supply pipe is running ok and the pump still works (because you can hear it pumping out at the beginning of a cycle), but no water gets in. I disconnected the supply pipe as I thought there should be a filter, but I couldn’t see one (the instruction manual is not very helpful on this).
The crack I mentioned is in the plastic immediately to the right of the on/off switch, and each time the door is opened it tends to make the crack worse. Can the door, or part of it be replaced, or is it basically going to be cheaper to get a new machine?

The cracked control panel isn’t an expensive part at around £20 so it may be worth considering a repair.
Normally these would display an error code but when you say it’s not filling I think it’s actually not starting at all which is very likely to do with the cracked control panel as the door switch isn’t operating correctly, does that sound feasable ?

Thanks for your reply, Dave. As far as I can see the programs run, but no water comes in. I haven’t noticed an error code. I just started the machine and ran it for a couple of minutes without any error code appearing. The first time it happened the dirt got baked onto the plates because of the heat from the elements!
