KeymasterHi all,
Everthing seems to function OK but the items on the top tray don’t come out clean. Bottom tray, fine. Difficult to tell without a glass door fitted but I don’t believe the top spray arm is rotating as it should. If I open the door whilst washing most times it appears to be in the same place. (Could be coincidence 😉 ). Spray arm is not block. Could it be faulty pump not delivering enough pressure or something? Last time I had the machine out, I could see the water rising up the back pipe. Can anyone please suggest where to look?August 11, 2004 at 1:31 pm #115114woz

Hi IR
Not sure 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} some have these models have a half load function or ECO as it’s sometimes known. This basically turns of the either the top or bottom basket (not sure but i think top). Make sure ECo is switched off, if it is then it’s possible the diverter solenoid on the main pump may be sticking.
Worth a try
Regards

The upper spray arm definitely isn’t rotating.
As it is fixed to the upper basket, when you push the basket back, the arm support tube locates on to the water inlet on the back wall, that’s where the problem will be no doubt.
Either the spray arm support is not fixed to the basket correctly or the seal at the back is misplaced/missing/worn allowing water to escape, therefore low water pressure to the spray arm
Hope that helps ?
Dave.

ECO is one of the wash programs but even on the heavy soil program, it doesn’t clean. Thanks for the solenoid suggestion, might take a look.

This isn’t one of those models 😉

Yes we originally didn’t realise you have to push the basket back fully. Thought this was the problem, but alas no.
Either the spray arm support is not fixed to the basket correctly or the seal at the back is misplaced/missing/worn allowing water to escape, therefore low water pressure to the spray armArm fixed sucurely and rotates manually OK. Doesn’t seem much wrong with the seal. Arm has rubber flaps on it to act as some sort of valve I guess.
Hope that helps ? – Any suggestions help. Appreciated.

Check the arm itself for a split along the seams, if all seems ok, replace the arm and the arm support.
Water pressure is OK as the lower arm is recieving enough water, unless there’s a blockage in the upper spray arm feed pipe somewhere.
