Diplomat ADP 8224 Error Code E3

My machine is displaying the E3 error message, I know that this might mean the thermostat has tripped out especially as there was a tea spoon in the bottom of the machine when it went wrong which I understand can short it out and cause the trip.

I have had the machine apart about a year ago to clear bloked pipes, but what would be really handy would be if someone can tell me where the thermostat is located as I don’t remember seeing one.

Next to the heater, you’ll see the top of it inside below the lower basket where the heater enters.

To reset it requires getting access to the other side of the stat.

Please ensure you disconnect from the mains power before attempting !
