Diplomat ADP 8224 mains power switch

My machine is not powering up although power is getting to the power on/off switch. I wanted to remove the switch from the panel but despite removing the clamps, couldn’t do so. On searching for a replacement part, I found item 816450119 on the site, which looks to be the same.
Firstly, I would like to confirm that the part mentioned is the correct replacement. Secondly, how do I remove the old part? I notice that the button that is fitted to the external face of the machine, and connected to the internal switch, is listed as a separate item. How do I separate it from the switch.
Thank you. PS. I cannot find a tradesman in my area that will look at dishwashers

Although I havent had a response through the forum, Kenneth has been in contact, and explained how to remove the suspect switch so thank you.
