It probably will be door latch/switch related by the sound of it.

Often they feel fine but the switch itself is not being activated, this is what tells the control unit that the door is closed and to start the programme.

I’ve had a look at the mechanism of the switch and everything is doing what it appears that it should. What is the suggested course of action?

Do you have a test meter? If you have, with the power off, you will be able to test the function of the door switch. If you haven’t, your only realistic option is to seek professional help. I assume from the posts so far that your appliance accepts the programme – it needs the door switch to activate to say “Go” to the computer board. Otherwise you are looking at a board fault – the computer is not recognising that the door is closed.

Check Repairs@ or Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.

If you wish to carry on – pull the plug first. :plug:
