You can try the reset procedure, if it doesn’t work, let us know your postcode or check the directories section as you’ll need an engineer.

With the door open, turn the appliance on and, within three seconds, push 4 times on the program selection button – The test program has been selected if the SOAK and STRONG pilot lamps are flashing.

Once the two outer LED’s are illuminated, as above, push on the program selection button once and check that the pilot lamp of the SOAK indicator is off. To complete the procedure, do not close the door, simply switch the appliance off. After a short delay, 10 to 15 seconds, switch the appliance back on and test on a SOAK program.

Brilliant… the reset worked for me.
I found that you had to be very quick pressing the program button four times after powering up. You know you’ve hit it right when then two outer lights stay lit. Then push the program button once. Then power off (without closing the door). After 15 seconds, powering up and running one of the cycles showed it to be working fine. 😀

Thank you Dave Conway. Although “Classic” and “Ferret” had this Fault in 2004, sifting through the forum found the symptom and the reset etc. cured it for me. (for now) vicspoon 4/7/07
