ParticipantI’ve read through your site and tried to find what I am looking for but I am only finding clues so wondered if you could help? 😕
Firstly the inner facia has broken so it is causing problems with the catch, any tips on fixing the catch back in place?
This seems to have caused/contributed to more problems.
Half way through a cycle the washer stopped, beeped twice and whired, until I opened the door. Put it on a rinse to empty it then reset using the instructions I found on here.
Then we had an error, 1st light on, 5th light flashing but started up when you shut the door, now its 1st and 2nd light on, 5th flashing.
Any ideas?
Thanks

To resolve the door latch problem you will need to replace the fascia panel – Dave Conway will be able to price that up for you.
The lights indicate a no heat problem. This can be caused by the element failing, thermostats, wiring or the computer board. Given the various possibilities, it may be time for pro help. Check the link below.
Power off if you wish to investigate further.

Purchase date required for this one, there are two but both about £20 with VAT and carriage.
Changes were made around April 2003 🙂

Well, we switched it on again and detected a slight tang of burning from the computer board, so it doesn’t look good!! Back to 1st light on 5th flashing!
Any ideas of cost here? Had it just over 3 years and wondered if a new one might be on the cards as if it keeps going wrong?????!!

Thos lights indicate E1 error which is an overfill problem, check the float switch in the base, the buring could be coming from there and not the PCB, which incidently if that is the problem is £105 ex VAT (the PCB).
