Diplomat ADP 8242 program stop

Have a diplomat integrated dishwasher ADP8242 about 5 years old. My problem is doesn’t matter which program I use it stops just after 4 min into the rinse cycle. Normal use is the super wash and the light just stays lit, opening and closing the door doesn’t continue the cycle. I’ve got to press and hold the prog button in untill the 2 right side lights glow, shut the door and the water empties and then stops. No fault codes are shown. Tried to do a reset with a guide from this forum but cant get it to reset. Water seems to go in ok and pumps out. Can anyone help please?

This is a SMEG-built appliance. They are recent quality machines, but subject to quirky faults. The problem you have points to some sort of logic problem with the computer board – however, this can be affected by a number of external facors. A read of THIS article may help.

You might like to consider pro help on this one – as a private individual, you have little choice but to throw parts at it until it works – an expensive choice.

Power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Thought it may be a computer fault, no error codes etc. Tried to reset lots of times when I came in from work today but no joy-but thiught I would try another super wash and low and behold the dishwasher ran for a full cycle and is sitting with the super light flashing as it should. As I speak my wife is going to load with dishes and try again. Mabe just a glitch. Can you let me know where I can get a illustrated parts catalogue in case I have to stip the washer myself?
