Diplomat adp 8252 not working?

Diplomat adp8252

My Dishwasher has stoped working – I can power on and step through the 1 – 8 menu but then when I close the door nothing happens, I have looked at the door switch and power to that is ok. Not all the time but have found /// with an X through it and 1/2 next to it on the display (right hand side) and then it fades away, but I don’t know what this code means. Checked the inlet & outlet pipes for blockages and found nothing in them.

Hi Mate,

Try and get a refund and buy a new machine! That’s what I did, and I bought a Bosch. See my post fom Dec 22.

Dishwasher is too old for that idea, long out of any warrenty it had. thanks

The machine is a SMEG appliance, so quite decent quality. Selecting and not starting is either a door switch issue or the pcb not behaving. The crossed out wavey lines mean that no dry is selected. Fading out further suggests a problem with the pcb, as does 1/2 – this is a reduced water option operating one basket only.

Corruption issues can be caused by the solenoid on the soap dispenser or by the mains suppressor. The pcb can simply have gone wrong. It is a very difficult one to call without a component by component investigation. If you can’t use a test meter correctly and safely, your best c ourse of action is to seek professional help. This is a technically complex machine and even we pros struggle with them sometimes.

Power off if you are going to investigate this yourself.

Thanks for this info, We’ve had the door off and checked the door switch thats working. No noise coming from the washing machine when you open and close the door. So it a catch 22 new pcb might solve the problem but if it still dose not work, new machine + the wasted pcb
