I have checked all the previous posts and it looks like there are a few common problems with Diplomat, and this model too.

I keep getting F7 after 30 seconds of pumping out water at the beginning of the cyle. Resetting and opening and closing the door withing this 30 seconds seems to fool it into working, but it’s a pain.

Is there anything that can be fixed, without a shouting matching with MFI or Whirlpool, or who ever make this blasted machine? I inherited in my new house so no idea of age.

    Any help appreciated, thank you.

Common problem – typical description of remedy in link:
    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … =flowmeter

Power off if you’re going to do this yourself.

Ok, I will be unplugging and trying this out tonight.

I spent about 15 mins last night trying to get it to work, ended up inthe huff. It seems to work for a couple of nights then gives up again (F7).

I can imagine that there might be sweetcorn/porridge in the drain on the way out, but how does an inlet pipe block intermittantly (assuming it is a flow-in problem).

As I say, I’ll get hubby to try and fix it tonight (and I will remove the plug.)

Had to call out engineer and he was a bit lost until I showed him your post.

He eventually found the flow meter, after I read out the post…

He took the connection off and blew into it…seriously.

He put it back on and it worked.

Paid him and said cheerio. I have now written the instructions of how to do it myself for future reference. I was looking in the back of the machine, but apparently everything is on the side of my machine…
