Diplomat ADP 8342 dishwasher

Hi, we’ve had an integrated Diplomat ADP 8342 dishwasher for three or four months and yesterday its stopped working with no warning.

The power light comes on but there are no warning lights or audable alarms. If I switch the power off, select a program then switch it on, it refuses to start a program. I’ve tried switching it off at the mains for a bit but still no joy.

We have an engineer booked but wondered if I ws doing something daft ?

Keep the engineer booked, there is a fault I think, either the door latch isn’t working or the PCB control unit is not accepting commands.

Hi folks,

Engineer has been and gone. Apparantly the manufacturer has recently learnt that the Diplomat ADP 8342 dishwasher is not suitable for use with dishwasher tablets and should be used with powder/liquid and rinser only. It appears the tablets cause froth which doesn’t rinse away properly and activates the flood prevention mechanism.

Also, we were running with an old PCB revision which he replaced free of charge.

No more manual washing up for us !

In this instance there should have been an error code displayed by the lights. Normally for this fault you would have the first three lights all flashing together.
I realise that this information won’t help you any, but it will make me feel slightly better for having posted 🙄

Nope, no error message and the engineer said it wouldn’t necessarily cause one.

I have this code coming up with my dishwasher, how do I go about fixing it please?
