diplomat ADP 8342 just packed up

Hi there,
I bought this machine one year and three weeks ago, after about two months of trouble free use it started to leak so called the engineer out who said it was the door latch that needed adjustment… but while he was working on it the control panel stopped working so he replace that part too all under guarantee so thats was ok , anyway using the machine today steam was bellowing out of all my cupboard doors and the draining board which is situated over the machine was so hot you could have fried an egg on it 😯 so I switched off and let it cool down and tried it again it powered up ok but nothing when I press the control panel button , but if i switch on and close the door and press the button quick it will start up , but after about 30 seconds my rcd trips out on my consumer unit and i have no power in the house. So i phoned up the guarantee people again only to find out that it ran out three weeks ago and i’m not covered 😥 I asked them what about the control panel that was replaced last time surely that would still be under guarantee because its not even a year old..but nope its not covered. They want £70 – £90 call out charge plus parts
From what I have read on here about this model is it worth paying to have it repaired or just cut my losses?

Sadly the latter may be worth considering. This is a Haier manufactured (?) appliance, notoriously unrelaible and virtually no technical or spares information 🙁

thanks for your quick response dave, ok i’ll get another new one then do you recomend any makes and models that are good.. i dont want to go and waste any more money . also if any one wants my old dishwasher for spares it’s availble 😉

Bosch/Neff/Siemens group or if you can stretch the budget a Miele 😀
