    HELP!!!
Our dishwasher is just out of warranty by 2 months and has decided to play up last night. I’ve called the help line and they have said the flashing lights (second/third/fourth) are a drainage problem. This much we figured out for ourselves as there was still water in the machine. We’ve drained it and opened up the side but can’t see anything obvious.
Can’t afford the £90 + parts + vat etc callout charges. Does anyone have any idea of what the problem is?

    Many Thanks

If you’ve done that and the pump and drain hose are clear etc. as well as having continuity in the pump then I’m afraid you may have little choice to get in a pro khatif.

However it sure ain’t a £90 callout from an independent I shouldn’t think, if you look around you will often find an MFI agent locally that will be considerably cheaper.

Thanks KWatt. Appreciate your quick response. Going to check the pump continuiity with a power meter to see if thats the problem. Fingers crossed it is as this would be the chepeast problem to repair.

    Thanks again.

if not draining and u heara very quiet humming when u put head to door when u first start a programme and if u check spigot where it pumps out most likely u have a seed or glass caught in pump propellor.
    unplug machine<<<<
if this is so can be cleared from inside tank hole at very bottom use a metal coat hanger and fead it down the bottom hole where the plastic line is over the hole and u can push the propellor the other way that will relase the seed and let it drain
ps have to becarefull not to use anything sharp and be carefull not to rip the rubber pipe

    Hi Karv,

    Thanks for this info.
    Amatures here!
The machine is making a humming noise when the pump normally kicks in. If we move the drain pipe up and down to manually drain the water, the machine carries on with the program. Does this sound like a blockage to you or as we think, the pump is kapoot?

    Kind Regards,

    Karv,

    Your a genious!!! 😀
We tried the coat hanger trick and out popped a big black piece of burnt food. Pump is now working normally and nightmares of washing dishes in the sink have gone!

    Thanks again.

hi there, i have the exact same problem. Just wondered whether the coat hanger is used from inside the machine or do i have to take the whole machine out first to get to the pump?
    thanks
