Diplomat ADP 8500 not starting

Hi,

My Diplomat ADP 8500 dishwasher has suddenly stopped working. No matter what programme I select (30, 50 or 70) results in the power button light flashing twice followed by pauses.

Any idease?

Flood protection system activated – the tray under the machine is full of water and the float switch is over-riding the programming.

Drain tray, find leak.

Power off first.

I’ve removed the front panel but it doesn’t appear to be flooded, am I looking in the right place – front panel secured by 4 star thread screws?

Correct…… It’s a Whirlpool in a dress, 2 flashes is definitely flood protection operating. There is a polystyrene float on the floor of the base tray – this works a microswitch. Switch failure is possible; damage to the float can do it, but this usually points to problems with small furry visitors which we can’t help you with. Computer board could also be playing up.
