Hi, i’m after help with our inherited (housemove) Diplomat (Haier?) ADP 8902 dishwasher. It has worked fine for us for many months, we only tended to use the BIO setting (light 3) but started not moving program with every push of the button. Sometimes it would take up to 4 pushes (accompanied by a beep with every push) to move. Washed fine though.
In the past week it will only fill up to the bottom of the door with cold water, the tablet door won’t open, and machine stops inert after spray arms spin round a few times.
Have managed to get the machine to drain by pressing and holding the prog button until lights 4+5 are on steady: shut door, machine drains fine (very quickly), we are left with lights 4+5 flashing. Press prog button and all seems normal till you turn on a load and same series of probs occurrs.
I have checked the base is empty of water (bone dry), the air tube to the pressure differential switch is clear, switch functions ok.
What should i be looking for? Only thing i did before probs started was to turn the tap on the inside left wall of the machine from 3 to 2 then back again.

    Help please!

    Re: Diplomat ADP 8902 issues….

It’s a SMEG dishwasher – the Haier would not have lasted “for many months” 😀 .

The flashing lights are not a recognised error code. It is possible that the computer board has become corrupted. Oddly enough this is often caused by problems with the soap dispenser solenoid. Replacing it may clear the problem, but sometimes the board is beyond help.

You could try re-setting the computer – use the “Search” facility in this forum only. “SMEG AND reset” should find it for you.

If you choose to investigate, ensure that the power is off and beware of the edges of the inner door. You can shave with them.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.
