ParticipantHi all,
Am hoping initially for some pointers as to where to start looking for a seeming fault with out Diplomat ADP 8902 slimline integrated dishwasher.
It’s just started running constantly, as though the cycle is not progressing or is not being told to turn off at the end. I’ve tried turning it off at the mains for a while (always worth a try!), but the problem persists.
It seems as though the rinse cycle is working as you’d expect, but not the wash cycles. Also, when you open the door, the water is warm, but not hot (this machine is cold-feed only).
Any suggestions as to what to check first?
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,

Heater and stats first.

Cheer kwatt. Have checked the heater element today with the multimeter – it had continuity and measures 28ohms resistance which looks to be about right.
Can you point me in the direction of the thermostat(s)? I couldn’t for the life of me see it looking up from underneath. As far as I could tell from the pic on espares, it’s a silver disc I should be looking for? Pic from here: http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/977870006-dishwasher-temperature-sensor
Once again, many thanks in advance for your help. I’ve always found this forum invaluable – it’s kept all our major appliances going when many people probably would have just bought a new machine.
🙂

Right, I found the thermostat in the door panel. I’ve tested it the only two ways I know – for continuity and resistance.
It doesn’t have continuity, but then if it’s acting as a switch (bearing in mind I’m a realtive n00b to all this) then that doesn’t necessarily indicate it’s faulty, right?
So I set my DMM to resistance, and am getting an infinity reading (display reads 1) at room temperature and when I put the thermostat in boiling water. Would this indicate the ‘stat is at fault? Or is it a case of just swapping it out with a new part and seeing if that cures the problem?
Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. Heater is working and I ran the door thermostat under some hot water and the resistance decreased to around 5ohms. Any more ides what problem can be? . Is the door thermostat just for cut out if it gets to hot or is this the only thermostat for checking water temp? It’s proving somewhat trouble to get this dish washer running correctly.

ParticipantI think I have the same issue. Thermostat and heating element both seem fine. Thanks
