    Hi,

I’ve very recently got a new hob and cooker. One of the plastic knobs for controlling the flames on the hob is beginning to melt! A few questions – can I stop this progressing further without stopping using the hob, am I likely to be able to get Diplomat to give me a new knob under warrenty (as the hob is less than a month old), if not – where can I get a new knob myself – and is it a user fittable part?

Also – the cooker seem to turn off (no ignition, clock or heat), I’ve read in other makes of cookers this can be due to overheating when the grill is used with the door closed. Is this the same for diplomat cookers?

    Thanks for the help

Look at the Sale of goods act (28 day) is the product of merchantable quality ??
I would ask for my money back but I dont now if this would include instalation cost only you can decide.

    Hi
On a safety issue, nevermind the cosmetic damage; please cease using the appliance and contact the supplier/manufacturer to get an engineer to confirm/repair the fault.
