    Hi,

I have an issue with this cooker where the door has come off the main oven. I cannot seem to feel any way to slot these back on and cannot find a guide/manual online. Has anyone experience of this and the best way of attaching these

    Thanks!

    Re: Diplomat ADP4520 Oven Door

Funnily enough I had exactly the same problem New Years day after my sone party. If the door is completely off and intact ?
woth the hinge hook totall extended do not attempt to try fixing it back in. Basically on most ovens with the door in the open position there are hinge screws which when turned secure the hinge and then allow the door to be removed.

Thre are no hinge screws on the ADP4520 so the door has come out with the hinge in the extended closed position which means you cannot get it back in.

Whilst there is no hinge screw there is a hole in the top of the hinge which if with some tlc and possibly the edge of a blunt wide edge screw driver you manage to push the hinge backl enough the holes on the outer sheth align with the inner and then you can insert a temporay pin (I suggest use of a 4″ length of wire coat hanger to secure the hinge.

Do the same with the other hinge, again no brute force and do not bend the door ar apply force to it or you will break the glass to it.

Pnce both hinges are pinned back then position the hinge heads back into the receiving holes to the oven carefull ensuring the nibs are hooked over first (no brute force is needed) this shoud rehouse the door then check for allignment, once happy it is housed correctly remove pins and recheck it closes properly aligned. if not open the door slot back in the pins remove the door and start again untill the required result is acheived.

There is a video also on You Tube that may help use the words oven door refitting to search for.

If you deceided to get a new oven though let me know as I may be ineterested in yours if you are within 50-100 miles of me

    Regards

    paulo
