    Hi,

We have a diplomat adp5701 cooker which suddenly lost all electrical power. I have changed the fuse but this has not helped, also the light on the wall switch is on; suggesting power supply itself as being fine.

Having looked in the oven compartment my wife noted that part of the lower grill elemnt has perished and broken off! Could this be the problem? Would it stop all electrical functions of the cooker?

    Hope you can help
    Thanks

No…the grill is obviously faulty and will need to be replaced, but you must have another problem there…unfortunately it’s quite possible that when the element let go it took other things with it. 😕

It’s also quite possible that the lack of power is unrelated and the only way to check is with a meter.

Don’t forget power off if you’re having a go yourself, or if it’s beyond you then click the link below for an engineer near you?
