Just curious to what fault would of burnt out a section of the main pcb on my dishwasher even though I have decided not to repair as its £135 for just the board

A whole host of faults could potentially cause it, water penetration from door misalignment, loose connections on the pcb itself or another component has let go taking the pcb with it. A good start would be to follow the burnt tracks and see which connections they relate to then follow those to a component and test it 😉
