hi guys went to this d/w this morning ,not heating,error code e3.this heat problem,checked heater,fine stats ,fine will not even let you do anythig at all just sits there,with e3.chcked door loom any ideas,richard ta eng14

We’ve had this fault show when the motor’s failed before. You can sometimes hear a faint pulsing sound when this happens.

Also had the famous Smeg Soap Dispenser problem throw this up as well.

Unlikely to be the timer, but it’s always an outside bet.

Have you meggered the machine? Low insulation resistance somewhere may cause this. Also have you checked the manually re-settable thermal trip?
