    Hi,

    I have just purchased a new drain pump for the above as the old pump casing and impeller were damaged by a utensil ferrell. The male electrical spade connectors on the old pump were separate side by side and marked live and neutral. My new pump has the male spades one slightly above the other and the housing around them seems to be a single block. They are also unmarked with live/neutral.

    How do I know on the new pump which is live/neutral ? If a female one piece block is needed, again when I connect it to the existing wiring, which is which ?

    AC circuit, doesn’t matter which way round you connect them.
